Quick service, but extremely pricey. They charge a full service-call fee on top of the job itself, which adds up fast. For comparison, I paid $169 for the same type of work from another company two years ago. This time, with The Irish Plumber, the total was $549.A big jump — definitely something to be aware of.
We're very happy with the service we got from Michael. He arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem, clearly presented options and resolved our problem to our satisfaction. This is the 3rd time we've used The Irish Plumber and each time we are satisfied with their work, professionalism and communications.
We called The Irish Plumber for an urgent plumbing problem at our house recently. Over the phone they were friendly and thorough. They arranged to come as soon as possible that same day and than came earlier because of a cancellation, so that was great! They explained the procedures they would do and the associated costs. The problem was rather complex but they stayed until it was resolved. We were very satisfied with the experience.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the Irish Plumber Company! I had a plumbing issue that needed to be addressed at my condo in Ottawa, that my daughter lives in. I was a little nervous with not being familiar with businesses in the area and having to have my daughter look after the situation. I received an appointment earlier than I expected and they showed up exactly when they said they would. They were so amazing dealing with my daughter and were so patient. It turned into a problem where the shut off for the water was unable to be located by the Super or Maintenance of the building. They did everything that they possibly could to help to locate it. They spent at least an hour trying to work with the maintenance in locating it, which was unbelievable. They finally had to leave, but made an appointment to return at a time that would not interfere with my daughter’s classes. The shut off was not located until the building drawings were located. After they had been there, I was sent an email giving me an upfront quote and detailing what needed to be done by Micheal. I was completely kept in the loop of what was happening. Again they showed up when they were scheduled and completed the work in the time frame they gave, so that no classes were missed. I would highly recommend their company! They were honest and straight forward to deal with!
#1) In October 2025 a tooth brush cover accidentally dropped into our main level bathroom sink because the sink stopper broke and I removed the stopper, my wife was concerned that it may cause a leak or a severe clog or something. They came and installed the kind of bathroom sink stoppers that you press down until it clicks and it’s closed, and then press again and it clicks and pops open. (I don’t like the type that work using a “lift rod handle”, so I like these stoppers).Since they were already here and the had the time we asked them to replace the upstairs bathroom fixture with a MOEN Liso single handle fixture they had in their truck, the old fixture had a loose handle and sometimes dripped if not properly shut off. We’ve had one month to get used to the new fixture and we like it very much. The handle is very smooth, and it’s easy to set the water temperature and flow rate. We’re both glad that we got the work done.We also had water that was leaking down through the fixture cover plate in the main level washroom, and he was nice enough to come back and apply a caulking around it + the kitchen fixture as well, I wish that had been done when they were originally installed.#2) In March of 2022 we had a small leak from the base of our main level toilet, and they came and replaced the toilet flanges of our 2 toilets, as well as a couple of other items. The toilet stopped leaking, and they both have been fine for the past 2.5 years.
